Before founding United Brothers Development in 1986, the founder and CEO, David Dostie, was a successful home builder. Intrigued by site work, he started United Brothers Development and for four years, actually ran both companies. Eventually, Mr. Dostie chose site work which he realized was his passion and the better financial and personal opportunity. Starting out with a vision and just one employee, he learned the business from the ground up, gaining experience and expertise with every project.

As the company’s projects grew, so did the number of employees, the size and diversity of the Company’s projects, and the Company’s service offerings. In the mid-2000s, David Dostie invested in the equipment necessary to crush and recycle concrete to use as a base material in its site work projects. By doing so, United Brothers Development took control of a link in its supply chain and entered the recycled concrete market. To satisfy growing demand, the Company built multiple crushing sites and established relationships with concrete companies, contractors, and precast companies to ensure a steady supply of concrete.

Today, United Brothers Development operates under two divisions: 1) Underground Utilities Contractor which provides services to both private and public entities, and 2) Concrete Recycler which provides crushing and demo services as well as aggregate material sales. As a preferred bidder for both governmental and private customers, United Brothers Development delivers high-quality services year after year. Working in tandem, the company’s two divisions have contributed to revenue growth, minimized the impact of economic shifts, and positioned United Brothers Development as a premier contractor in North East Florida.
